Lodging Proposed Orders - Overview

EXCEPTION: Orders on Objections to Claims must be lodged at the Intake window of the division where the case is pending.

Proposed orders may be lodged in MS Word format electronically via the Lodge Order Upload (LOU) module. Although LOU is a separate program from CM/ECF, it has been incorporated into the CM/ECF menu, making it easy for users to find and select.

Orders lodged electronically via LOU immediately appear for review and processing in the Court's internal Calendaring Information and Orders program. Once the Judge has reviewed and approved the order, it is entered on the case docket and may be noticed via the Bankruptcy Noticing Center (BNC).

Proposed orders must be submitted in MS-WORD format.  Exhibits may be uploaded with the proposed order in PDF format.
Please refer to the Court Manual for more detailed procedures.

Stipulations: To upload a proposed order on a Stipulation, the Stipulation must first have been filed using the event code, Stipulation (motion).

NOTE: Orders can be lodged electronically only if there is an existing motion or certain other events on the case docket.
