A free electronic fee payment method is now available to the public for a limited selection of court services. The new online payment method provides easier access for self-represented litigants to make payments remotely for the selection of services described. The online payment is processed through Pay.gov and withdraws payment from a bank account through automated clearing house (ACH) only (bank routing number required; credit cards and debit cards are not accepted). Pay.gov is operated by the U.S. Department of Treasury and is a web-based application that allows users to make online payments to government agencies. Online payments are accepted only for installment payments after the first installment (chapters 7 and 13 only), certified copies, and copies.
