General Order Amended Regarding Attorney Discipline Procedures

The United States Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California amended General Order 96-05, Attorney Discipline Procedures in Bankruptcy Court. This Sixth Amended General Order 96-05 became effective December 18, 2019.

General Order 96-05 was amended to require attorneys who have been suspended or disbarred by the California State Bar, and who have an active case in this court, to respond to an order to show cause issued by the Chief Judge or designee of the Chief Judge requiring him or her to explain why the same discipline should be not be imposed suspending or disbarring that attorney from practicing before this court.
