On December 1, 2022, Chief Judge Theodor C. Albert issued General Order 22-03 which rescinds the Coronavirus Public Emergency – Vaccination and Testing Policy for COVID-19 as described in General Order 21-06 and the amended version of the Policy as described in Public Notice 22-006

General Order 22-03 was ordered to align with District Court operations in light of the United States District Court General Order No. 22-05, entered on December 1, 2022. General Order 22-05 rescinds General Order 21-17, which implemented a vaccine and testing policy regarding COVID-19 for all employees, volunteers, and contractors in the Central District of California.

Although the Court rescinds the Amended Policy Regarding COVID-19 Vaccination and Testing, all employees, volunteers, and onsite judiciary contractors are still strongly encouraged to follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s guidance regarding COVID-19 prevention measures, including staying up to date with their COVID-19 vaccines.
