Announcement

The United States Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California continues to closely monitor the national and local response to the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19). We will be following guidance provided by the Administrative Office of the United States Courts and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), available at www.cdc.gov. All divisions of the Court will be operating and holding hearings as usual but will conduct as many as possible telephonically. Telephonic appearance rules have been relaxed but evidentiary hearings will still need to be in person. Please consult the individual judge’s instructions on our website for call-in instructions: https://www.cacb.uscourts.gov/judges/judge-directory.

Please note the telephone number for CourtCall, the Court’s telephonic provider, is (866) 582-6878. CourtCall is offering discounted rates to attorneys through April 30, 2020 and FREE access for parties who do not have an attorney (pro se parties). Review the Telephonic Instruction tab on each judges’s webpage for specific instructions: https://www.cacb.uscourts.gov/judges/judge-directory.

All divisions are OPEN and available for filing pleadings, but attorneys must use the court’s electronic filing procedures and other parties may utilize our electronic self-represented petition filing software for Chapter 7, https://www.cacb.uscourts.gov/esr, and may mail pleadings. Any future changes or updates will be posted on the Court's website and communicated as appropriate.
