Changes To Miscellaneous Fee Schedule Effective December 1, 2016

The Judicial Conference of the United States approved adjustments to the miscellaneous fee schedule for bankruptcy courts. These changes become effective December 1, 2016, as follows:

Filing Type

For filing the following motions:

  • To terminate, annul, modify or condition the automatic stay
  • To compel the abandonment of property of the estate
  • To withdraw the reference of a cases or proceeding
  • To sell property of the estate free and clear of liens under 11 U.S.C. § 362(f)





Exemplification of any document



For reproduction of an audio recording of a court proceeding



For filing an amendment to the debtor’s schedule of creditors, list of creditors, or mailing list



For conducting a search of the bankruptcy court records



For filing any document that is not related to a pending case or proceeding



A separate Public Notice will provide information about changes that were also approved by the Judicial Conference to simplify fees for court registry funds invested through the Judiciary’s Court Registry Investment System.  On December 1, 2016, the Court will post the updated fees in its Abbreviated Fee Schedule on the Court’s web site and in Court Manual Section 1.1.
