3015-1(q)(2)(A): Chapter 13: Conversion by Debtor: CHAPTER 13 to 7, First Time Conversion
FRBP 1019 provides instructions on the documents that must be filed when a chapter 13 case is converted or reconverted to a chapter 7 case.
LBR 3015-1(q)(2)(A) and 1017-1(a)(1) provides a procedure to follow when a chapter 13 debtor wishes to convert their case to a chapter 7 case.
- A motion is not required.
- A hearing is not required, pursuant to LBR 9013-1(q).
- The debtor must file a Notice of Conversion. The court has a form notice of conversion. See link below.
- A fee is required. See chart of fees below
- Do not lodge an order because the court prepares and delivers its own order.
