Effective November 7, 2011, all pending chapter 13 bankruptcy cases and related adversary proceedings assigned to Judge Ernest M. Robles and Thomas B. Donovan will be reassigned to Judge Julia W. Brand and Judge Neil W. Bason as follows:

Judge Bason: To schedule matters for Judge Bason’s calendar, please refer to his self-calendaring instructions on the Court’s website at www.cacb.uscourts.gov. or call (213) 894-4085. Hearings for Judge Bason must be noticed for 255 E. Temple Street, Courtroom 1545, Los Angeles, CA 90012.

Requirement to Reschedule Hearings for Cases
Judge Brand and Judge Bason will honor hearing dates for chapter 13 cases and related adversary proceeds that had already been calendared for Judge Donovan and Judge Robles through the end of 2011. However, these hearings will be held in the courtrooms of Judge Brand and Judge Bason, as applicable.

If you have a hearing scheduled after January 1, 2012 on Judge Donovan’s or Judge Robles’ calendars in one of the cases or adversary proceedings that will be transferred to Judge Brand or Judge Bason on November 7, 2011, you must reschedule the hearing to a date on the new judge’s calendar. Therefore, after January 1, 2012: (i) if the matter is one that Judge Brand or Judge Bason allows to be self-calendared, please self-calendar a new hearing date and then provide all necessary parties with at least a 21-day notice of the new hearing date; or (ii) if the matter is one that may not be self-calendared, please contact the following Clerk’s Office staff for a hearing date and then provide all necessary parties with at least a 21-day notice of the new hearing date.

Filing Papers/Judge’s Copies
Papers filed on cases assigned to Judge Brand and Judge Bason must be filed either electronically or, for non-registered ECF users, at the Intake Section of the Los Angeles Division.

Judge Brand: Printed judge’s copies of these papers must be delivered to Judge Brand’s chambers at 255 E. Temple Street, Suite 1382, Los Angeles, CA 90012.

Judge Bason: Printed judge’s copies of these papers must be delivered to Judge Bason’s chambers at 255 E. Temple Street, Suite 1552, Los Angeles, CA 90012.

Judge’s Initials
The initials following the bankruptcy case and adversary proceeding numbers of the reassigned bankruptcy cases and/or adversary proceedings must be changed from “ER” to “WB” and from “TD” to “NB.”
