Launch of the Court’s Loan Modification Management Pilot Program

News Category:
Public Notice
Effective December 5, 2016, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California has established a Loan Modification Management Pilot Program (“LMM”).  The LMM is designed to function as a forum for debtors and creditors to reach a consensual resolution when a debtor’s property is at risk of foreclosure.

Currently, the LMM is just a pilot program and not a district wide program. Only the following judges are participating in the LMM:

Los Angeles Division

Judge Julia W. Brand

Judge Neil W. Bason

Riverside Division

Judge Scott H. Yun

Santa Ana Division

Judge Catherine E. Bauer

San Fernando Valley Division

Judge Martin R. Barash

You may only use the LMM forms and the Loan Modification Management Pilot Program Procedures if your case or your client’s case is assigned to one of the judges listed above.

The procedures for participating in the LMM can be found on the Court’s website www.cacb.uscourts.gov under the Programs & Services section.  The forms for the LMM, many in PDF fillable/saveable format, are available on the Court’s website under the Forms tab.

To submit comments or feedback related to the LMM program, please send an email to bkcomments@cacb.uscourts.gov.
